23.6x11.8 in ~ Painting, Acrylic, Ink
This canvas is an acrylic on canvas. History and creation of "Nike": I have always admired Greek mythology. Yet it was while watching the advertisement of a very famous brand "Nike" that I wanted to paint this canvas. Nike appropriated the name Nike (victory) by removing the emphasis on the "e". In ancient Greece Nike is the goddess of Victory. She is very close to ZEUS and ATHÉNA. NIKÉ is a winged deity with the power to move at very high speed. In my canvas, I gave my inspiration to the liveliness of shapes and colors. Colors of the world and nature. I also wanted to represent the "noise" of colors, relative to each other. The bright colors stir others up, they orchestrate the positioning of angles and the sense of direction, just as quickly in Nike. Is this painting a victory?
