19.7x19.7 in ~ Painting, Acrylic, Ink, Oil, Collages
For this creation, I mixed collage, acrylic, oil and ink. I have pasted / torn two headline posters from a local newspaper where I live. I take enough time to place my collages. Once created, I let them "sleep" two or three nights. History for me to take a step back from my initial inspiration. So, comes the acrylic paint, which I come back to with oil. When the colors are dry, I come back to them with inks, Poska. I think it's a delicate creative moment, I absolutely don't want to overdo it. Why this title? Child; I only played with a doll, a simple "bather". This had the gift of exasperating my father who was worried to see in me only a hypersensitive boy "effeminate" in his childhood games! Imagine when I started painting when I was 7! For this father, I was only a "girl"! Imagine a time, or from childhood, you had to show your very masculine "passport" to life! I have become a man without a doubt, with the merit of having preserved in me this feminine sensitivity. With me no duality no! But a male / female mix almost in balance. Sometimes I still think aloud while screaming "Give me back my doll!" Better still: I manage to paint it and concretize in abstraction my will to be me. Thank you life ! Desag
